Eileen Cowen has been a music lover her whole life, from the first time she picked up a violin in first grade music class. From then, she learned to play many different instruments including saxophone, guitar, bass, mandolin, and of course ukulele, but she loves singing best!
Eileen spent 5 years in the US Army then moved to Downtown Vancouver to raise her family. She has a degree in History from Washington State University Vancouver and is currently working on a degree in Herbalism from American College of Healthcare Sciences. She firmly believes in the power of learning what you love. This key element is a point she enthusiastically encourages in music instruction.
Eileen has experience teaching children from preschool to middle school levels. She lives in Hough Neighborhood with her husband, kids, cats, chickens, and a bunny named Jack.
Eileen is our ukulele percussion instructor.
